The 2009 Ivy Journal has 125 large, clear, line drawings of ivy originally published in Hedera Sorten. by Brother Ingobert Heieck the Benedictine monk and ivy specialist at the Neuberg Abbey near Heidelberg, Germany. It is the first time these drawings made by Garry Grueber (one of the founders of Proven Winners) have been published in the United States.

The author, Suzanne Warner Pierot, is the President of the American Ivy Society
The first edition, published in 1974, sometimes comes up on Amazon.

This fine book by British Ivy expert, Peter Rose is now out of print but occasionally it comes up for sale as a used book. As a service to members we have obtained two copies that are in “like new” condition and are able to offer them at $25 each plus USA postage of $5. Total $30.

Editorial Review by George Cohen from Booklist In this comprehensive study of ivy, Rose has expanded his research of its species and cultivars that he began with the publication of “Ivies” in 1981. Rose writes an engrossing general history of the plant, which includes the role of ivy in medicine (some people believed it to be a remedy for just about everything). The author explains the botany, nomenclature, and cultivation of the genus and offers suggestions on growing it in a variety of places – from house and garden walls to rock gardens and hanging baskets. The bulk of the book is an A-to-Z directory of 285 species, varieties, and clones. Each listing includes a brief history and detailed description of the plant.
